■ Swap Show/Hide

1) Select [Select All]

2) Select [Show]

3) Select [Hide]

This is a useful technique when you have hidden detailed parts and now want to edit only those parts.

Even if you perform [Select All], hidden parts are not selected. In that state, if you perform [Show], the previously visible parts should be selected points, and the previously hidden parts should be unselected points. Then, performing [Hide] will hide the originally visible parts, effectively swapping show and hide.

By the way, using shortcuts, you can do it instantly with Ctrl + A, W, H.

■ Convert left-right symmetric independent points to symmetric points (e.g., after loading from other formats)

1) Delete half from the center (not completely half; leave a little around the edges)

2) Select the remaining part and perform [Create Symmetric Points]

3) Select around the center and perform [Merge Approximate Points]

This technique is useful when you create something with symmetric points like a human face, load it into another software, edit it there, and then return to 3DAce for further editing. All points become independent points, so you cannot take advantage of 3DAce's symmetric point feature.

Leaving a little around the center is because if there are lines between symmetric points, those lines would disappear. Also, those points will disappear when [Merge Approximate Points] is performed, so if the points were (perfectly left-right symmetric) they will not remain.

If the number of loaded vertices etc. differs, adjust the zoom and perform [Merge Approximate Points].

■ Lighten processing as much as possible while working

・Uncheck [Display Textures Nicely].

・Uncheck [Display Background Images Nicely].

・Uncheck [Edge Display].

・Uncheck [Texture Display].

・Set to [No Alpha].

・In [Options] > [System Settings] Drawing tab, uncheck the smoothing angle.

・Hide parts unrelated to the work.

Basically, the more features you use, the heavier the processing becomes, so not using unnecessary features will lighten the processing.

Since copying palettes between windows is now possible, another method is to create a new window and copy parts to work on.
