■ Sub Windows ■

Explanation of Sub Windows.

[Locator]

Left button drag for camera rotation,

Middle button drag for pan,

Right button drag for zoom.

Basically the same operations as the toolbar's "Camera", "Pan", and "Zoom".

[Palette]

Select the color or texture used when applying faces.

Note that the color on the far right of the palette is for creating dummy faces. When painted on a face it is displayed as translucent, and is deleted when saving in formats other than ace. Use it when you do not want unwanted faces (such as inside the object) to be applied when filling faces.

Selecting a palette while holding the Ctrl key performs the same action as [Select by Color]. Holding Shift makes it [Select by Color] that adds to the selection.

Double-click to change the displayed color or texture.

Also, by right-click dragging and dropping palette colors, you can swap or copy palette colors.

Drag and drop without pressing anything to swap; press Ctrl to copy. Also, by pressing Shift, you can change only the order of the palette without changing the object's colors.

[Color Change]

Set colors, material names, and textures.

Material names are also used when saving in other file formats, etc.

Displayed when showing texture files in Color Change, or when dragging and dropping Image Files.

You can scroll the image with left drag.

If the image has alpha, right-click displays the alpha.

With a wheel mouse or [Num+] [Num-], you can enlarge or reduce the image.

[Grid Settings]

Place vertex positions on the grid.

You can specify axes by the presence or absence of checks.

When selecting [Process] > [Place on Grid] from the menu, the values set here are used.

[Pipe Creation Settings]

Place a pipe-shaped form on a line.

You can set the number of pipe segments, radius, and rotation offset.

When selecting [Process] > [Create Pipe] from the menu, the values set here are used.

[Random Move Settings]

Randomly move vertex positions within a range.

You can set per axis by the presence or absence of checks.

The movement value, if the input is d, moves in the range -d to +d. (That is, a range of 2d.)

When selecting [Process] > [Random Move] from the menu, the values set here are used.

[UV Projection]

Select the method to apply UV to the object.

UV values are calculated taking the width of the currently selected object as 1.

[Primitives]

Create primitives.

Currently the number of divisions cannot be specified and is fixed.

[Numeric Input]

Perform move, scale, and rotate via numeric input.

By checking, you can switch between absolute, relative, and based on the current viewpoint.

You can also memorize positions and reposition to the memorized position.

[Background Image]

Configure background images.

Images can be set for each of the X, Y, Z axes.

Image formats usable for background images are the same as for textures.

Checking flip for placement allows placing the background image in the opposite direction of the axis.

Checking flip for the image allows flipping the left and right of the image.

You can also set image scale and depth.

Placed background images can be scaled with Shift + left button drag, and moved with Shift + middle button drag.
