Counter-Strike HLDS server set up

hey guys. Me and a couple of guys decided to set up a counter striek server through HLDS. Since i am behind a router i need to formward my ports. So i forwarded port 27015. and set the server as my computer. Now the problem is when is et it to set it up on the internet, it shows only my lan ip and is only accsible only trhough my lan network. I am using a netgear router. Any help would be nice.

  • Let me make sure I got the details:

    You set up a server on your machine
    You forwarded the right port to the machine w/the server

    And now if someone tries to access your server via your IP addr. they can't get through to the server?

  • Yea thats right, it says there are no games on this ip.
  • Does portscanning your external IP addr show that port as being open?

  • Just when you get it working, make sure it's non VAC please! Cause I'm too lazy to go buy the game lol

  • still no luck. It appears to be forwarded, but i still cant get it to run on the net instead of lan. Apparently i heard thath netgear routers suck for these kinds of things.
