Logging to the FTP server

I would like to login to the FTP server mentioned on page beta archive

But I am not able to login to FTP using the information on that page. Is the information correct there or is it restricted?

Is there any way to access the FTP so I could easily download old files I want?

    These are not real creditentials.
    You can't use them to log into BetaArchive's stupidly restrictive FTP.
    Chances are you might find what you're looking for here.

    Is a joke. The "credentials" given are unreal and it should be fairly obvious.
    Why you didn't get it... I don't know.

    It's designed to take you to the WinWorld library rather than BA's.

    Thanks for this information. Had a look at the betaarchive website and now understood that it's a totally different thing.

    I was asking about the FTP things because I would like to download faster many programs without clicking each link, but it really doesn't matter that much. This website is good, because I have found here many of programs I owned 20 years ago and that had got lost.
