(REQUEST) Windows Powered (Windows 2000 Embedded)?

Does such an operating system exist, or is it fan made? I don't have much info on it.

  • There is no such a thing as Windows 2000 Embedded, Microsoft was planning to release it, but postponed the release and released XP Embedded instead.
Windows 2000 Powered is not an OS, it's just Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server with Server Appliance Kit applied you can download the kit free from http://download.cnet.com/Server-Appliance-Kit-2-01/3000-2076_4-10732265.html
Also you can read about it here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa286528.aspx
All ISO files you may found on the net are syspreped and repacked versions of Windows 2000
Windows Powered CD kit was a pack of CDs, given to OEMs. It includes 3 cds
    1st. Windows 2000 Server with SP1
    2nd. Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP2
    3rd. MSAK 1.8 version
Here is my post from another site:
There is only one Windows Powered version, it was released as SAK kit to OEMs so they could build, add shell, drivers. All pre-built versions are fake. Windows Powered for NAS devices was stand-alone product, which was something like BETA version of 2000 Embedded (Embedded was never released). It was built W2k SERVER code base, OEMs used WINNT style target designer to make it.
YRMWFPP_EN.iso was released to developers in May, 2000. It was version of WPfNAS, but with installation like other W2k. This version wasn't designed to use in real NAS products, so SP2 or later installation will revert the branding to WINDOWS 2000 AS from POWERED. Since Windows 2000 Embedded was abandoned, in early 2001, microsoft released an update which reverts branding to AS version.
Then Microsoft concentrated into development of Windows 2003 Storage Server and Unified Storage Server (know as Windows Codename "Whistler" Server).
