  • I like winNT 3.5 because it works on my old i386..
  • I had NT 3.51 on a 386SLC (equivelent to SX) 20Mhz and it lagged a big.
  • My NT 3.51 worked great on i386DX-33MHz/16Mb RAM/1M Video!!
  • Did you try NewShell?

  • I did, the only bad thing is, you can get rid of it !
  • You can get rid of it. Just have to restore the old files.
  • basically just run a repair install.
  • Uhm...longhorn is also NT 5.2. Longhorn is the "workstation" counterpart to 2003....not sure why there is a 2 year gap in their releases... But if I remember correctly, going to the system stats would say NT 5.2.
I happen to think 2000 is great, tolerable 9x crap but no ME/XP crap on top. After installing the unofficial service pack 1.5 I can willing use 98se.
  • Hmph... 2000 seems to be the best allaround choice.
  • Umm...noo

LH is NT 6, XP is the workstation counterpart to 2003.

They keep talking about a 'LongHorn Server', that's the counterpart to LH.

Or so I seem to know...

  • Hmph... Q's version sounds more believeable to me.
  • Yeah...considering 2003 is NT 5.2, XP is 5.1, 2000 is 5.0
  • Blackcomb will be NT 7.0.
  • Nah, probly NT 6.2 or 6.1
  • These days they just call it 'Windows 6', but we all know the truth...
