Trying to make Win95 RTM Floppy Set (13 Disks) Winimage 9 Prompts that format is diff & asks yo format.Accept & it always errors.
Anyone been able to write the 1.72 Disk Images to floppy?
What software was used?
Floppy is installed in Towet
Found FDFORMAT to pre-format the disks in Dos & that worked GREAT! But Winimage still gave errors.Could be drive itself,since i got tons of drives,will try others later.In mean time i got a Bantam Backpack parallel drive working & Win95 installed on Unisys!
BTW,On a side note during searching found out that Win95 was actually available on NON DMF disks! A total if 30 Disks !

WinImage should do it, BUT you need a real floppy drive attached to a real floppy controller. Lobotomized USB drives won't write DMF (1.7MB) disks.

Exactly which 95 download did you use? I recall some crufty downloads had a problem that the images they were in weren't authentic DMF sized.
