Lindows, later Linspire, was an attempt similar to Corel Linux to put desktop Linux in the hands of the consumer. With a customized KDE 3.x desktop, custom applications borderline cloning the Apple iLife suite, and a primitive "app store," it was intended to be easy to use and fully functional out of the box.

  • Do not choose Linux as the machine origin on VirtualBox when you are going to install otherwise a screen will appear asking for Login info on the computer which has no login and no password and the OS is inaccessible. Use Other-Windows 32-bit for installing LindowsOS on Oracle Virtualbox, If this helped anyone out then your welcome.

    good combination, and it seem can run .exe files... i think i'll giv-it a try
  • lindows 1.1.1 is not corrupt. ive installed it before
