  • For this release has need special DOS version (HDOS/Hebrew DOS)? Or in this application includen need drivers and this program can be staring in generic DOS (for example DOS6 En).
  • No need for anything special. It's running on all versions/variants/emulators of DOS.
  • scrutinizer, i has offtop question.
You know any info about Hebrew DOS 5?
We has only drivers for support Hebrew-language in DOS5 text mode (from MSDN disk).
Does exist full localized release? This is used dongle or don't? May be you has install files?
    Thank you!
  • Hebrew-DOS was a failed attempt to localize DOS. It was never really used anywhere.
I never saw any software that required it and there's no technical reason for this to ever have happened...

We has ADOS/Arabic DOS 3.3. We cannot try this as this version requires a dongle.
Also, i was seen box photo of HDOS 3.3, for this version also need dongle.
Also, in community available Arabic/Hebrew additionals for DOS5 (from MSDN CD).
I think, also exist full localizations.
I think, that BiDi DOS it's was don't good idea.
But my interest, how working texting BiDi mode.
  • BiDi mode in DOS was supported by the applications themselves.
The most common Hebrew-Supporting Word Processors for DOS were

    - EinsteinWriter
    - Wordmill
    - AlephBet
    - Qtext (probably the most common, and an excellent piece of software)
    - WordPerfect
  • For info.
scrutinizer, in Old-DOS available another Hebrew-editor. It's shareware editor Multi-Edit 4.13 (i think, this unofficial localize).
