I have a retail boot disk, but seems damaged (couldn't get past track 74 head 1 while imaging it)...
    Please help me!

Can you upload disk image from damaged disk by PM?

    I can fix (recover) it.

  • Of course I uploaded it here.

    Thanks.
Only unused sector is broken, but it is possible to fix it easily by binary editor.

Use a Windows 95 boot disk because the Windows Me and 98 boot disk don't have the format command.

Simplicity is golden. Once you have the boot disk loaded, choose 2, then 1. Setup on CD-Rom can format the drive for you. Worked great!
Edit: Have to make those selections twice, by the way. Still eazy-peazy.
