react os in VPC not working...

ive been tring to install react os in vpc and it doesn'nt wanna work. it gets to 95% and freezes.

Any ideas?

    You aren't telling VPC that it's NT is it? That always scerws it.

    Try it in VMware or Bochs, VPC can be ughly @ times.

    I have VMware and VPC, though I have noticed that VMware can do some things more easily then VPC and vice versa. For instance, the VPC help file lists the exact hardware emulated, which makes finding drivers much simpler. Does anyone know what hardware VMware emulates? I know an AMD family network card (experience from networking 3.11) But that's all I know.

    I never got the hang of Bochs. Never got it to work.

    EDIT: they have a (semidone) pocket pc version so thats a big plus.

    I couldn't get Fedora Core 2 to work in VPC earlier.

    Oh, well, too late. It was MS VPC. Just downloaded the trial thing from them.

    I just put it on a Compaq PII 400 MHz w/ 162 (soon to be 196) MB of RAM and like an 8 gig drive. 2 minutes remaining on the install!

    There no 162.

    The BIOS may say something like 162,XXX KB of RAM

    thats becuase there are 1024K in one Megabyte

    Its 160Mb

    i treid vmaware doesn't like my machine and i don't get bochs

    Ive never ran reactos in vpc but i dl'ed the live cd and it krashed at startup.

    It's an ALPHA. Ofcourse it's buggy and unreliable. There are maybe 1/100th of the peple working on it that worked on Windows NT4.

    not for a while but the concept of a windows clone thats free is a damn good concept.

    its based around nt4 so it probly has all the same apis and stuff that nt4 does.
