BSoD on startup
when i rebooted my laptop earlia today i got the following error message on startup:
anyone know what this means?
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or itd log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.
anyone know what this means?

I could never make that work. i would just reinstall XP, but in a different folder so you wont have to reformat.
