Clock too fast, everything else too jerky.

edited November 2004 in Hardware
Hi

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ PC, with an AOpen AK79G-1394 Motherboard, and a Geforce FX 5600 Graphics card. The OS is Windows XP Professional. My PC has an odd timing problem, that happens sometimes on startup. Everything runs too fast (there are 2 seconds to a second on the windows clock). When this happens, everything runs at a really jerky rate, and every game is virtually unplayable. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Or you have overclocked your clock :P

have you installed a tool called edonkey speedhack? it makes your clock run faster so that it seems that you are downloading faster, or, if you have a MSI board, uninstall the PC alert 3 utility. it has a bug.
  • Just clear the CMOS Data... Should work.
