  • welcome to the forums dude, but this post is in the wrong forum :(
  • Rhapsody is Apple dude.

Jobbs left Apple to make some NeXT Computers that ran NeXTStep then later OpenStep. This later lead to Jobbs joining Apple in 1997 and then making a beta OS called Rhapsody. It was based off of OpenStep but had the Mac GUI. More like an OSX Beta without the homo GUI. There was an x86 version however.
  • And how Rhapsody is connected with Microsoft?
  • Exactly my point :-)
  • *Moved to Other OSes*

  • IBMShitster has it i think, i want the x86 version, i think mr.mac might have it too.
  • I've got it on a VHD, but it crashdumps on startup.

  • Yeah IBM told once something about it.
I had a very ugly version that failed to boot

As far as I know... Apple makes the Hardware... Microsoft makes the software...
  • ??? MS didnt make MacOS and so on.. that was Apple. and Rhapsody is Apple... I am entirely conused w/ ur post NW1
  • I never got it to installl.

I got a VPC HD image off some server on OSBA.

I booted it up, used root as login and it worked.

Sadly I can't get it to run on a real PC unless I get software to put the image on a HD.

Is there a WIndows version of the software?
  • It was a Virtual PC disk image. I just mounted it into VPC.

I think there are various Windows tools for opening it in Windows.

  • What is it with (some)/(certain) OSes and new systems?

    -Q
  • New Rpapsody should work but if the ram is too much just edit some files to limit the ram to your amount! I'm trying to extract the image in PearPC...
