Any OS suggestions?

What would be a good OperatingSystem for an HP Pavilion 512n. The system is old and I cone to the forums for help. What OS could run on 128MB of ram and an Intel Celeron 1.4 GHz? I was able to get XP to boot, but it's slow. Windows 2000 runs easily, and I didn't try Windows ME yet. Thanks in advance.

    It is up to you.
    But I think it will be slower to install Windows XP with 128MB RAM.
    (At least 256MB or more RAM is needed on your machine.)

    I would just stick to Win2000, if XP had ran slower on it. Don't bother with ME though, unless you want to be barraged by BSoDs all the time :P

    Also, any Linux distro would do also as they're known to run very smoothly even on the most ancient systems.

    Specifically you could try Lubuntu if you want an Ubuntu-based Linux distro that's good for older systems.

    I'd go with Windows 2000. It runs well on hardware like that.
