Hello everyone I'm trying to install windows whistler build 2446 but the setup tells me the following thing:
That means you've encountered a timebomb and need to set the BIOS clock to around the date that build was released. Build 2430 has a BIOS date of 1/31/2001, so somewhere around that date should work.
You need to have the computer clock set to the correct time period, these builds were set to expire and stop operating after a certain point.
Look here https://thecollectionbook.info/builds/windows/version/67 and you'll see that the bios date needs to be something between 25/02/2001 and 24/08/2001.
Once you have it installed you can use a program such as TweakNT to remove the timebomb.
thank you for your reply but how i doing for set the BIOS date?
You'll have to tell us what environment you're using. But typically start mashing the delete key or F1 or something when the machine first powers up.
i'm using Virtualbox
https://thecollectionbook.info/information/changing_bios_dates/ and check the Virtualbox section. It's probably the hardest environment to change the date.
Kinda off-topic but this belongs in the Software section.
