Actually, these are Technical Beta builds.

Whistler 2267 does not work well in VirtualBox. It won't detect the VBox CD-ROM, and it will BSOD when booting from the CD. It even cannot upgrade. However, it can be installed on VBox through MS-DOS with CD-ROM support. After install, it will detect the CD drive, however it won't work.

can you install windows whistler on pcem? im really curious about installing windows whistler on an emulator, but i wanna know if its even real or possible.

I've not tried in PCem, but it installs fine in 86Box and QEMU.

holy. the xp pages desperately need a refresh. builds 2202-2223 are part of "pre-beta", 2250-2267 & other discovered builds are in technical beta, 2296 and possibly some others are beta 1 builds, 2410-2459 are pre-beta 2, 2462-2465 are likely beta 2, and pre-RC1 is builds 2469-2504, rc1 is 2505-2517. pre-rc2 is 2525-2532, and pre-rtm builds are 2525-2542. source? https://www.thecollectionbook.info/windows/xp , could be wrong however
