Note about Tandy 2000 and Windows 1
Due to its lack of IBM PC compatiblity, I had assumed that a special "port" or adaption of Windows 1 was required to run on a Tandy 2000. But I stumbled across this interesting note in a Tandy 2000 FAQ:
32) Can I run Microsoft Windows on the Model 2000?
The only version of Windows that will run on the Model 2000 is Windows
version 1. It requires a special driver disk, sold by Tandy under part#
7002611. It supported the Model 2000's high resolution graphics as well as
the Digi-mouse. Programs written to run under Windows 1 were then usable on
the Model 2000, such as Pagemaker 1.
So, if this is right, it runs normal Windows 1, but needs a driver disk. Of course, at a glance I don't see that driver disk anywhere "out there" on the Internet.

Well, herp and/or derp, by coincidence the Tandy 2000 driver disk surfaced just a couple weeks ago:

Looking closer, it is slightly more than just drivers. It does seem to include a few modified core files. Of course, this would all run on top of Tandy's DOS.
I wonder if any of this could be made to work on Windows 2? It's too bad the MESS system for Tandy 2000 is not working yet.
