Remastered Windows Sounds

edited November 2018 in Software

I remastered two iconic Windows sounds.

The Microsoft Sound (Remastered).wav (stereo 32-bit float WAV @ 44.1 kHz)
title.wma (Remastered).m4a (stereo ALAC @ 48 kHz)

All files have noise reduction applied where necessary. Remaster was done using Audacity.

To compare with the originals, use foobar2000's ABX comparator with the original files, which are available online. You will need a foobar2000 version newer than 1.2 to play the title.wma remaster (explanation below).

Please note the that the title.wma remaster is an ALAC file and may not play in some browsers. If you hit a snag, try downloading it and opening it in VLC, foobar2000, or iTunes. Or you can convert it to FLAC/WAV/AIFF, etc. using ffmpeg, VLC, or cloudconvert.com.
