Boot Sector Virus

Hi everyone,
I am trying to install windows 98 on an older at 20 gig HD.
When using the fdisk to partition the drive I get a message (boot sector virus do you want to continue)
Is there a program I can get for free to remove it?

    I don't think that's a virus; I believe that it's a virus warning from the BIOS that appears when changes are made to the MBR like any modifications to partitions or a change in active partition. I don't remember seeing messages like that from fdisk.

    There should be an option in the BIOS to disable the virus warning.

    If there is a virus then I'd delete all partitions considering that you almost have a clean slate already.
