"Snow for Windows", Mobility Radeon 7500 and win9x
I have a program titled Snow for Windows which produces a desktop overlay of snow falling onto the taskbar and windows.
It is supposed to run on everything from Windows 95 to Server 2003 but with the Mobility Radeon 7500, it only works with Windows 2000 and up. When I tried to run it on Windows 98SE, it gave me an illegal operation message. I thought that it was some driver-related incompatibility but when I tried on Windows 95 with scitech drivers it still gave me one.
What is it about this Radeon that prevents it from executing certain screen-overlay applications under 9x but not win2k/XP?
