Vetusware said there was Microsoft Excel for DOS on there Webpage.

It happens to be the only place on the web that says that. I believe this is the offending download:

In fact someone ripped this particular download from winworld! Though they only uploaded one of the nine disk images so it's useless.

"Excel for DOS" was just Excel for Windows bundled with the Windows runtimes. Excel for DOS runs Windows 2.0 just enough to load the Excel application in place of MS DOS Executive (the application launcher for Windows 1.x/2.x)

I offered updated version 2.0 (11/29/1987) with 5.25" 360KB 14EA.

However, I introduced the original version 2.0 (10/31/1987) with 5.25" 360KB 14EA formats (very rare type and no plan to offer it).
Setup fikes include Windows Run-Tine, so no need to install Windows.

I also dumped 3.5" 720KB 7EA of Microsoft Excel 2.0 (10/31/1987).
Now it is verified.

Also each version 2.0 and 2.01 of 5.25" 1.2MB 5EA are verified.
