  • The Logitech ScanMan Scanner was a terrible bit of hardware: it was a scanner that the user had to manually drag across a page, resulting in distorted, choppy and frustratingly fragmented scans. The UX is such it should've been killed in the womb with fat shaking machines, the Power Glove and iGrip Keyboard and Trackball.

  • ScanMan was perfect for its intended use. Scanning a picture in the paper or even scanning a Polaroid. Small size, minimal movement, much easier than going to the camera room placing the proper dot screen on the picture and then developing the results with all the nasty chemicals and the waiting time of 30 minutes.
