Microsoft Show Partner?
Hey guys,
So i got some EARLY Microsoft stuff in the other day, circa 1981 i think. I have "Show Partner". Unfortunately, my floppy disks have been rotted to time (the film literally deteriorated off the cookie). I got the help disk copied and backed up. Does anyone have "Show Partner" for the IBM PC? I'd like to try to get it working.
I also have MS-Paintbrush and the EARLY mouse drivers software. Haven't tried these, they look pretty poor.

How early? The earliest Microsoft mouse drivers were produced in 1983, there is a picture of 1.0 here, but the earliest we have is 2.0. https://winworldpc.com/product/microsoft-mouse/1x and I just posted Show Partner XF 3.2 here: https://winworldpc.com/product/show-partner/3x but we don’t have the Microsoft OEM version. A couple of Microsoft Paintbrush disks are here: https://winworldpc.com/product/microsoft-paintbrush/20 although most were bundled with their mouse drivers.
Unfortunately many poorly stored floppy disks can not just be plopped in to a floppy drive and read without ripping the thing to shreds. They have to be cleaned first.
I will double check, i have the disks at home.
I don't think they were able to be saved, they were so nasty coming out of a storage "barn" at work.
I think the mouse driver may be 1.0, it still has the early MS logo on it.
