I'm having a problem with Mac OS X, Every Time i start the machine, i get a gray screen, and nothing else. How Do I Fix This?
Sorry to say, but this is as bad as it gets. The Apple recommended fix for this is to replace the motherboard. I had the same thing happen to me.
What model is it? And what version of Mac OS X are you trying to boot? Can you boot from an alternate media (i.e. install disc or internet recovery).
We are the Borg. OS is irrelevant. Alternate media is irrelevant. The MacBook has been assimilated. Resistance is futile.
Translation: OS and source really do not matter, it is dead.
Before you replace the logicboard, just try these:https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
