Microsoft Encarta was a home oriented interactive encyclopedia that was often sold with new OEM machines. Unlike a paper encyclopedia, Encarta took full advantage of being on a computer, with updates from the Internet, sound clips and movies, interactive charts and games, and good navigation.

I tried the disk on two VM with Win 98 (each of them with different setting for compatibility) and on both the setup.exe file seems to be corrupted. : (

It works fine on Windows 95 in 86Box.

I extracted the ISO to a folder on my 386 and ran setup from Windows 3.1 and it installed and runs just fine.
