A Useful Patch?

When i tried to setup Windows 98, it shows this illegal error windows, is there a patch or something else useful for it?

    You need to provide a LOT more information. What hardware are you installing this on? What was the error code? Are you using a emulator? Was the error fatal?

    Simpily saying 'there was a error' is useless.
