What would the best software be for opening 7Z files?

I downloaded an old 3D animation program called Imagine 3.0 and it downloaded in the 7Z file format, and I don't have any type of software to open up files of that type. I tried converting it to a ZIP file, but the software was corrupted in the process, so that didn't work. Any recommendations for 7Z file openers?

    7zip is also open source software. I think there are some third party tools that work with 7z files but going directly to 7zip is the best option. I try to keep the 7z files on Winworld backwards compatible as 7zip has changed their compression format a few times.
