Reseting data to factory setting

How do i reset my computer back to its original factory setting, in other words clear all the memory back to when i bought it

To clear your memory shutdown and turn back on your computer.

Do you want to clear your Hard drive? And reinstall the OS?

Well the easiest way to restore factory settings is if you have an OEM computer (like Dell, Compaq, IBM)...chances are it came with a system restore/original software CDs. Stick the operating system disk in and boot the computer.

If you have deleted some of ur old files, you cannot restore them. And I think the words "factory setting" are not applicable to computers, cuz there are NO universal settings for all machines.

factory setting = default settings that the manufacturer set when the computer was first assembled.

But your right, there is no universal settings for all computers.
