  • It's asking me for a network installations utility disk but I don't have one.
  • I managed to get UnixWare 2.01 under VirtualBox.
  • could I install this on something that's IBM compatible
  • 86Box

    Board: Super S7 - ASUS P5
    CPU: I used a K6-2 200Mhz
    RAM: 128MB
GPU: Doesn't matter (no drivers for any AFAICT)
    Sound: Nope (again ^^)
HDD Controller: Adaptec 154x-CF SCSI (note down your IRQ, DMA and BIOS address)
HDD: 8GB works fine (SCSI ID 0)
    CDROM: Any (SCSI ID1)

    Boot from the dd.boot.img floppy
    Enter DCU when asked
Go to Software Driver Configuration > HBAs
Move to asdpx (CHANGE ME!!) and press F5 for New
Change IRQ, DMA and BIOS Start address to what you noted down earlier (leave end addresses alone)
Hit F10 then go to Save & Continue
Go into Hardware Configuration, check your new SCSI is at the bottom of the list and the details you entered all match
Hit F10 then Save DCU Configuration & Continue Install
    Select CDROM
    Follow the wizard
  • God damnit, adspx should be adsc

@dungeonseeker I'm at the dcu part. I already did the IRQ and the DMA channel fields but.. Where do I put in the bios start address? (I'm assuming that is BIOS Address in the Adaptec Configuration?)

Edit.. I did that but now I'm stuck at a black screen saying "Fatal Error: Either UnixWare could not detect any hard disks, or your primary hard disk is too small. Installation cannot continue."

I made it have a 4gb scsi drive as well..
  • @dungeonseeker sorry to mention you again but I'm at the date and time part. It won't let me change through the different fields so I can apply them.
