A warning to anyone that wants to install this. media player 5.2 will corrupt your windows installation. the runtime library it installs corrupts windows dll files
It worked fine for me. The Microsoft Windows Media Player 5.2 Beta for Windows 3.1 is a beta pre-release product, so compatibility problems and bugs are to be expected.
Just curious, but does anyone know where did this file originally came from? Was it available in Microsoft's website at some point? Did it came from a beta SDK/Windows/Office?

Other than that, I can't find more info about the origins of this file, It seems to have been materialized out of nowhere...
