There was a Demonstration for Microsoft Chart 1.0 For DOS for PC/Disk Magazine. It's probably Microsoft has same Promotional Sample For DOS version.

I think that promotional/not for resale disks were given away to editorialists so that they could test and review software. It should be a full working version, unlike demo versions which are often crippled.
