PC Tools 9.x

PC Tools, from Central Point Software, is a system and disk utility suite similar to the Norton Utilities. Central Point also produced a similar set of tools for the Apple Macintosh known as MacTools. Central Point Backup, bundled as part of PC-Tools, was also offered as a standalone product.

PCTOOLS RAMBoost 9.0 is not Y2K compliant. DOS will bootloop if RAMBOOST.EXE is in CONFIG.SYS and the system date is after 12-31-1999. Manually setting a date before the Year 2000 and running RAMSETUP.EXE will temporarily fix the problem until the system memory configuration changes.
