very stupid question: xf86cfg on red hat linux 7.2, for an ati radeon x800 something

is there like a generic vga/svga option in xf86config that i could use to startx, or like an xf86cfg file to help me

    can i just use the default ati radeon (generic) driver? (also its an ati radeon x850 xt platinum, in a random dell i found)

    i updated my machine to fedora 4 and it works fine (its actually an x300, the drivers lied to me)
