  • I haven't seen/used Reason... looking forward to that one!
  • Crap, It's the best of the olden... Yesterday opened up a synth in Massiva it didn't like so got MIDI error that can only be fixed by restarting machine, Opened up Synthmaster in Aero, It didn't like it & locked up... Open Reason & never a problem, everything... EVERYTHING works as it should with maximum efficiency... it's like a super-ultra AXS with piano roll. Makes me wonder why I mess with anything else>>>
  • Wow, damn!
I was testing out VST support in making waves... it writes tracks to wav easily.
It crashed on me a few time so, maybe you are right about Reason.
  • Crashing is a frickin' bummer... I have unfinished tune in Protrekkr a couple years old now lost hours of work still haven't gone back to it...

But no problem in AXS, never crashes... Stability one of the biggest most important traits...

Never had Reason crash either, nor Rebirth... Of course when Reason started accepting VSTi-VST all the stability went out the window & efficiency well before that...

I knew it was going downhill when Reason had track bouncing feature show up... in Reason 2.5 you can have 40-50-60 tracks going no problem, no need the bouncy... Monitoring RAM usage usually 100-150 MB depending on WAVs loaded into RAM then usually 2-8% CPU & that's on old dual-core from 2009...
  • BTW listening to some music I noticed I had some Reason 2.5 demo tunes rendered out... Here they are... 'OK - Blue Then' is my favorite it makes great use of the Orkester Refill that comes with 2.5 'One More Reason' is a close second which was done by famous keyboardist Thiago Pinheiro... Reason 2.5 had the best demo tunes...

  • Cool tunes... they sound very profession to me, like a hollywood movie soundtrack!
