Request - Chaotic-DAW

Old DAW, it was opensourced but went nowhere: https://github.com/dliganov/Chaotic-DAW
Looking for a build, archive.org has: Chaotic-v108.exe but it's a blank html page.
Anyone got this to try out?

  • ChaoticDAW was the website but it is actually Chaotic Music Maker. Was commercial in the beginning but not for long, then made open-source however anyone who has looked at the code says it's a terrible mess & absolutely NO binary was left behind... And yes there are pages no longer available even on the wayback but I grabbed them back then so have them all plus the only cracked binary ever released which is 1.08...

I have it floating around on a pen drive somewhere (burned as well)... Do have a few images in my screenshotz folder-

Pretty streamlined workflow, no frills but you can draw curves out for params. Also one can simply drag a sample to a track for an instrument like Making Waves. Piano Roll is pretty basic & there is no step record function...

It's worth messing with but Massiva much better... I'll try to track down the flash drive>>>

Nice, it does look sexy

You've mentioned Massiva a few times I've noticed, I tried looking for it, but also couldnt find it.
Would you have something already packaged up you could please share?
  • Yeah, but not handy messing with the Reason thingy & a few others...

Have your Chaotic, includes video & PDF of BG & it's entering open source... I included my own patched EXE in case YOU or somebody else can't run the patch>>>

  • Thanks for that! Nice packaging too :triumph::)
Chaotic is okay, very simple, light and powerful DAW and to me sounds great too!
    But no midi exporting :?
    Thanks for sharing :)
