OFFER!!!... Hotstepper 1.003 Once Commercial Then Set Free Sequencer Ingenious Design>>>
Hotstepper was commercial in 2000-2001 or so but by 2003 was made freeware...
Very ingenious design very easy to get a handle on & not just for drums either as pitched sounds can be used as well as each note can have different pitch, pan, volume & pitching seems to not be limited I went as far as 200 semitones up & just stopped out of boredom of course I could not hear anything at that point...
Has an included sound library but it's quite dated sounds luckily you can import your own mono 16bit WAVs up to 10 seconds long...
You need the stock library to play the included tunes but save a copy of that then delete all the sounds & load your own...
Has shuffle & delay FX & clever use of pan per note & delayFX can produce nice results...
Luckily by setting ticks of your bars you can obtain triplets within your 4/4 beats too and any pattern can be transposed up or down independent of instrument notes that are already in place...
Have tested out the WAV render which works fine no issues there... Like i say don't expect too much unless you import your own sounds... Wish everything was as intuitive as Hotstepper, help doesn't work but you don't need it>>>

There's no help for it, but it's simple enough to figure out the basics.
The only problem with it for me is that it only exports out to song/pattern wav files.
It's shame, it could have exported to tracker formats like XM or S3M... or even midi.
This Hotstepper Dev went on to create the SIR Impulse Reverb Plugin, which was pretty good...Version 1 was free version 2 was commercial...
