OFFER!!!... Freebee Win32 OT 303-Based Groovebox For The Masses, Make Patterns Or Full Tunes>>>

Yes, the 303 sound quite popular back in the day...

This Freeware groovebox actually doesn't sound too bad, the included patterns are junk... Has Delay, Reverb, etc you must turn them on same with Filters... Also has SUB & PWM ticks... PWM seems to work best with Square Wave rather than Saw Wave...

I had to turn the audio buffer way down (to the LEFT) to get decent sound... Sometimes if the sound start crapping out then stop playback then turn buffer all the way up, play then stop, then turn back down again then everything will sound normal...

It is a DX program so like other old DX program it doesn't like other DX app ran on top of it...

The drum sector loads 16bit mono WAVs... You can make a whole tune actually quite long or just repeat one-two & output to WAV...

WAV recorder is realtime so any tweaks you do will show on the file thus 'hand automation'... I made a pattern then repeated it many times applying slow knob tweaks, worked out fine...

I then cut loop segments up in Goldwave at 100 BPM to load up into AXS for BPM match test worked just great...

When you are actually recording the output you may get sound getting funky do not fret this does not affect the output at all just what you here so keep 'automating'...

This chart from Rebirth Manual pretty much all you need-

  • Speaking of Basslines here is a cool one... Replication of Carol Kaye's Bass Groove on the closing theme song of the Brady Bunch-

SNAPPY!... Carol Kaye responsible for many iconic bass & guitar lines you THINK the actual band members generated...She's been on over 10,000 recordings!
