Kinda weird...I guess they had their 'run'... Well that means all OLD Vues are now free too... They never release old versions this way only the newest CPU-RAM-Graphics intensive garbage...
So this was out in 2006 You will need a machine that was considered 'decent' in 2005-6 as with Vue it always seemed like their builds needed graphics cards which haven't even come out yet...
This is the polar opposite of Terragen which much newer versions can run on old crappy machines with not specific graphic requires quite amazing I did some tests of this 4 years ago running the last 32bit Terragen from 2014 on OLD Dell D400 'M' Pentium 1 GB RAM Intel Crapics I think 64MB video RAM (2003) & it did just fine even though framerate was bad no errors, no crashes great render I'll have to find it...

Now this is a single-EXE portable & is registered on every start unlike any other Vue 'portable' that has to be keygenned on any machine you wanna run it on... So those are not REAL portables IMHO...
It will use your default temp folder so might not work on modern shiddy OS that think an EXE using the temp folder must be 'up to something'...
I got this back in 2007 & it's probably been my most requested portable you can just use it as a render engine as well for your models very good render engine...
The following are just preview or final renders which are the worst there are 3-4 setting above that for 'Pro Chit'...
Never liked the drab Vue 6 GUI but you can change it to Vue 5 Infinite look I like alot better-
Now this does not come with any content & any images it may show don't link to anything on your HDD... So how am I rendering?... Because I have the FULL version of Vue 6 on this machine with all the content so the portable simply 'finds it'...
I can upload SOME content if anybody wants something to use/modify but download this portable & make sure it works first before requesting>>>

Hopefully your machine doesn't think the portable is 'up to something' by using temp storage...
