Things getting stranger and stranger. And me sad.

  • Update (plum forgot):
So for years, I paid the big bucks to have the Wall Street Journal delivered every morning (around 4:30 AM, IIRC). Nowadays, my morning read is to go to archive.org, see what's been added, then go to WinWorld and do the same.

This is the link I use: https://archive.org/search?query=mediatype:software&sort=-publicdate

Anyway, some period of time after I posted here, the site menu came back, but it is now absent that really, really handy link. Say levee say the old folks... (God can I butcher language!)

  • ruh-roh...!!!
(after a day & 1/2 unable to upload, during the early morning hours, I uploaded a 5gb file successfully - now the site is REALLY busted)

  • Progress. IA got hammered. This is the world we live in...

  • It's back, it's back!
Well sort. Read only, cannot sign in as of now.

  • Recently for me IA has started to be active & download files.
  • Today, first day logged in. Still cannot upload, comment, etc. What a long slow slog. But they're getting there.

  • Hal lay yoo yah!
    First upload as of tonight!

  • Excellent, thanks for letting us know. Hopefully things will get back to normal there.

I spoke too soon (just slightly). The upload above - the Zipfile containing the ISO never showed up. Also, cannot edit the post to add it, comment on other posts, or even click the (*) favorite star.

The missing binaries seem to be an issue with a couple of other peoples uploads I sampled, but not all.

And, I've done several more uploads - all files were present and accounted for. It's a long, slow slog, but its happening.
