[Offer] Quarterdeck Expanded Memory Manager 97 (v9.01) - [3.5-1440M] - Disk Images and Manual

This is an upgrade to the version currently on WinWorld. The Winworld disk images are synthetic images created by Winimage. The images in this offer are made from the original media, except that the boot sectors were overwritten by Windows. I no longer have the disks, unfortunately, so no disk scans. But the serial number was copied from the first disk.

A copy of the QEMM 97 manual was recently uploaded to archive.org along with a CD image (at https://archive.org/details/qemm-97 ). There were some distortions added by the scanning process. This new scan doesn't have those distortions.

The copy on archive.org also has scans of the retail box. The only place on the box where it states the media type is on one box side, so possibly the same box scans may mostly apply to the disks offered here as well.

    Thanks.
Not that the link above to CD version is v9.02, and includes warranty cards etc with Symantec branding. All other printed matter still shows Quarterdeck. Symantec did not acquire troubled Quarterdeck until late 1998, making that perhaps the most recent build. Not better necessarily, just more recent.

And thanks for pointing out that the WinWorld disks were created with WinWimage.
  • Hmm, the CD version only seems to have only the "UK" version even though it has scans for UK and US?
  • @SomeGuy Took a look at the ISO. Volume Label is "UKQEMM902". The scan of the US CD shows 901, the UK shows 902. So at least the later version ISO was the one uploaded.

To me, it's a head scratcher why both weren't uploaded.

Also: QEMM is a util that once installed and setup - well labor vs labour won't matter much. I'm thinking that on Symantec's part, it is a matter of tracking and handling warranty issues. Note the "labels" scan for countries that all use UK form of English.

    Or not (shrugs)
