ClearView is an alternate shell for Microsoft Windows 2.x. It provides an iconic list of applications to select from, rather than having to browse for applications through the MS-DOS Executive file manager. It is similar in concept to the Windows 3.0 Program Manager. ClearView also include the ability to automatically tile or cascade resizable open windows, and save a specific layout.

This is awesome! Just recently discovered ClearView and I must say I really like it. I love playing around with early Windows and these alternate shells are always fun to look at. For anyone wondering like I was, this WILL run on an original IBM PC or XT or compatible, despite the requirements calling for a 286. I just tried this on my IBM XT and it works great. It's not even horribly slow like I thought it'd be. Not fast by any means but perfectly usable. I do have a V20 and 1MB of EMS in my XT though so that definitely helps but I'm sure it would run fine on a fully stock PC or XT too.
