Gotta remember that the "Internet" was officially birthed in 1993, and the "WWW" (World Wide Web) came about in 1993.
These were heady times. We had hard drives, CD-ROMs, powerful processors and the cash flow was looking pretty good. There was a whole universe out there to discover and the WWW (along with Mosaic) was going to make that possible with our PCs.
