Ashton-Tate dBase was an early popular database management system for CP/M and MS-DOS. It was regarded as one of the killer applications for CP/M, and achieved good success. At the time of conception Ashton-Tate was a garage based company but quickly grew.

    I downloaded Borland Visual dBase 5.5 for Windows (1995-01) (ISO). My Operating System is Windows 10 Home 64-bit. Will this software run correctly on my system? Thanks in advance for any replies.

    This software is a 16-bit Windows 3.1 program. Windows 10 64-bit does not support running 16-bit DOS or Windows 3.x applications. You would need an emulator or virtualizer to run this software under Windows 10 64-bit. (The 32-bit version of Windows 10 does, however support 16-bit executables).
