MultiTool Word press release
This morning this eBay seller posted a number of Microsoft press releases, although it looks like most of them have sold already:

This specific one is a press release for "Multi Tool Word". I think it has already been documented elsewhere that it was announced as Multi Tool Word, but here it is in official green and white.
With a couple of glossy press photos (might be Microfiche cards). Nice.
Anyway, time line:
May 2, 1983 - Press release
September 7, 1983 - Known pre-release renamed to "Microsoft Word" - Microsoft Word Beta Test Version X1.06 for DOS (9-7-1983) (5.25-320k)
October 13, 1983 - Known Microsoft Word 1.00 for DOS release.
Still don't know about the Xenix side of things.
