hey... just wondered if y'all knew of a BSD distro that supported SATA or the VIA KT-600 chipset, lol... sometimes new technology can be a real bitch ;-)

FreeBSD 5.2.1.. I think the -CURRENT branch has better support. I run FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT on 2 of 3 servers.
YAKKO = Quad PPro 200MHz Server (Compaq Proliant 6500)
WAKKO = Dual PIII 450MHz Server (Self Built)
The only one that runs OpenBSD 3.5 is:
DOT = Macintosh IIvx Server
