Execlude pure UNIX and Linux. I found NeXTStep and OS X. Im writing a paper about OS es! i need more, plz.

I'm pretty sure they wrote it all themselves. It does have the BASH shell, which is what confuses alot of ppls about it's origins.

Many ppl still do. It might take some kicking to get running on the more modern systems, but there are tutorials for that. It has a kind of quiet attraction to it when you use it and get to know it.

I dunno. I couldn't get it to use proper video drivers (GeForce 2 MX) or recognize my USB mouse.

It's very picky about drivers, but look around, especially on BeBits, they may have something to support whatever it is.

Maybe. I got OS/2 2.1 to run under Virtual PC, which supposedly has the nt 3.1/3.5 bug of not working on processors newer than a Pentium.

OS/2 any version ran on Virtual PC.
And for NT 3.1 and 3.5 you should use P2Update. I have it.
But when you apply it, you will not be able to install service packs.
