What makes FFX better than IE?

What does? I need to convince my father and need MANY things.

    The builtin popup blocker kicks ass, in IE you need to "pay extra" or DL sp2 for XP only.

    FFX has a LOT LESS bugs than Internet Exploere therefore less exploitable.

    FFX is less prone to spyware, you get almost no spyware when using firefox.

    Getting adblock can prevent image ads from being shown or preventing images you dont wanna see (like TCP's avatar)

    You can get a wide range of FFX Extentions for free.

    You can skin firefox.

    Firefox has built in RSS feeds and live bookmarks.

    Its free.

    The google bar next to the address bar provides quick searching.

    Firefox goes by W3C standards, unlike IE

    and last of all, it just kicks ass (woot)

    Runs on all 32-bit Windows - unlike IE 6, which can only get the pop-up blocker, etc, with XP SP2.

    Runs on most other platforms.

    People who want their computers ownzed just by going to a website use IE. People that care about security use Firefox.

    IE with SP2 has that thing. Otherwise, use any blocker, for example, TweakXP's one.

    I agree. That's the main reason why not to use IE.

    i have to do some convincing FAST because my mother somehow is pissed at firefox and now wants me to uninstall it and thunderbird. i told her if i do that, i will no longer fix that computer, she'll have to do it by her self.

    Why would you shoot your own mother? That is plain wrong.

    Now, why not say you will uninstall it, but install that IE theme for Firefox, and change the FFXicons to IE and the name of FFX to internet explorer (use firesomething)

    GREAT IDEA! Find a site that will popup over 300 popup windows, show your mom in IE, then FFX... Then try the image crashing IE thing.

    An addition to that security comment, bugs are generally patched sooner then in IE. Also, if he's paranoid, Ffx has profiles.
