  • SME is a nice Linux server, although sometimes it can be infuriating. I've found it to be reliabled and pretty easy to work with.

PS. There's more to BSD the just FreeBSD
  • There's NetBSD, and OpenBSD, and FreeBSD. anyothers?

Also..a quick Q: Can linux kernel 2.6 bridge net connections?
  • Slackware as a last resort to Linux. Go with a BSD.

  • Good idea. Hope you won't regret if you get FreeBSD.
  • Try OpenBSD for ironclad security.
  • FreeBSD, not that hard to install.....
  • But not that easy to tune...

FreeBSD is *extremely* easy to tune. Hell, it basically comes tuned out of the box, so it's fine for 90% of people the way it is.
