  • HaH!! Norton SysInfo returns from across the Atlantic!

  • 4.04GHz??
  • yeah... I don't think there's a 4GHz processor out yet.... there's a 3 GHz, but not a 4 GHz as of yet....
  • Is this VPC? VPC has issues with CPU detection :-P

The 3.6 and I believe 3.06 GHz Pentium IV's can run at 4 GHz. Alienware does this and they have water cooling.

Must be a lot of heat eh? LOL That's one of the reasons that Intel delayed the 4GHz Pentium IV.

water cooling was developed for P4s LOL

    yea this was in VPC
  • I saw someplace a P4 overclocked to 6 Ghz. They used nitrogen cooling....
  • Personally, I'd overclock something else with that.

  • What's the nitrogen cooling? And wasn't that Xeon which was overclocked to 6GHz?
  • 3.06 hmmm... I could do that to my laptop, but it gets really hot at 3.06, let alone 4.
  • Uhh..yeah..small mobile heatsink and fan vs. watercooled system. LOL
